Canadian Tennis Star Defeats Siniakova in Second Round
Canadian tennis star Leylah Fernandez has advanced to the third round of the Internationaux de Strasbourg after defeating Katerina Siniakova in the second round on Tuesday. Despite rain delays, Fernandez was able to come from behind and win the match 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.
A Hard-Fought Victory
Fernandez, who is currently ranked 19th in the world, faced a tough challenge in Siniakova, who is ranked 47th. Siniakova took the first set, but Fernandez rallied to win the second and third sets. The match lasted for two hours and 23 minutes.
Fernandez will now face either Alison Van Uytvanck or Viktorija Golubic in the third round.
